Driven by the frenetic rhythms of Cumbia, SOBRAN - Spanish for leftover, surplus, extra - is a ritual of reparation that intertwines grief and joy. Five female dancers - Florencia Papaleo, Paz Moreno, Lola Vera, Florencia Martina and Julia Färber Data - rekindle within themselves the memory of the disappeared. Echoing the Latin American mothers who search for their missing loved ones, they defy oblivion through dance, thunderous cries, and songs of joy. They shatter boundaries, standing united; a blow struck against impunity, a surge of pleasure in the face of violence, and everywhere - ceaselessly - a call to rise up.
