For Menske Wim Vandekeybus worked with a mixed cast of ten dancers/actors. With eight different nationalities, it’s a colourful mix of languages and cultures. Six of them we know from earlier productions; for the four newcomers it’s their very first collaboration with Ultima Vez.

After the extremely physical Spiegel, Menske is a symbiosis of dance, theatre, music and scenography. Vandekeybus pushes his performers to explore the limits of their imagination and possibilities, as always with a startling intensity, with a poetic sense and a huge expressive power.

For the music, this time Wim Vandekeybus has looked closer to home: the Belgian pop artist Daan composed the music.
