In-house artists

In addition to Wim Vandekeybus’ well-known work, Ultima Vez structurally supports new artistic talent through the production of work by emerging makers under the name Ulti’Mates. This takes place through a closely networked interplay between different partners in Brussels, Flanders, nationally and internationally, supported by Ultima Vez’s international network. Seppe Baeyens created Tornar, INVITED and Birds under Ultima Vez’s wings, Zoë Demoustier created the critically acclaimed What Remains, and Lukah Katangila’sImprisoned Gods is currently touring.

We are now happy to announce two fresh collaborations.

In partnership with our in-house residency partners Mestizo Arts Platform and workspacebrussels, Ultima Vez joined forces with Théâtre de la Vie to support the new creation of Julia Färber Data. After a research and creation trajectory following WIPCOOP 2024, SOBRAN will première at Théâtre de la Vie in Brussels from 6-17 October 2026. Ultima Vez will focus on building future touring partnerships for the work and take on the executive production of future presentations.

Also in partnership with Théâtre de la Vie, Ultima Vez is supporting the new creation by Thi-Mai Nguyen in collaboration with DJ Marion Faure. The team of ÉMEUTE will be in residency at Ultima Vez the final weeks of creation, leading to its première at Théâtre de la Vie from 20-24 October 2026. As for SOBRAN, Ultima Vez will focus on the development of touring partnerships and take on the executive production of future presentations.
