Open Call: Graphic Designer for Ultima Vez

Ultima Vez, the dynamic house for contemporary dance in Brussels, is seeking a talented freelance
graphic designer or graphic design company to shape and enhance our communication channels.

About us:
Founded by choreographer Wim Vandekeybus, Ultima Vez is a vibrant hub where production and
distribution of contemporary dance take place in optimal conditions. We foster a creative
environment where artists share their practices with each other and with a wide audience. Our work
spans the artistic creations of Wim Vandekeybus, the innovative framework for new creators
(Ulti’Mates), and a variety of participatory activities.

What we’re looking for:
We are in search of a freelance designer or design company to develop and maintain a cohesive visual
identity for Ultima Vez across various platforms. The ideal candidate should have a curious interest in
contemporary arts and be keen to work in a flexible, collaborative manner.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine our house style to ensure consistency and creativity across all materials.
- Design dossiers for all our shows, capturing the essence of each production.
- Create engaging social media templates to enhance our online presence.
- Produce visually appealing text templates for video trailers and other multimedia content.
- Collaborate closely with our team to understand and translate our artistic vision into compelling
visuals.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in graphic design, preferably with a portfolio that includes work related to the
arts or contemporary dance.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and the ability to convey complex ideas through design.
- Proficiency in design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign etc.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the dynamic nature of our work.
