Quiebro

In Quiebro Wim Vandekeybus and thirteen dancers of the Compañía Nacional de Danza in Madrid place the notion individuality versus community. Each dancer represents an element of the physical and mental body. The performance explores themes and oppositions such as mind and soul, anonimity and identity, life and death.

With music by the New York guitarist Marc Ribot and electro-acoustic composer Charo Calvo, the challenge of Quiebro lies in the confrontation of the classical dance language of the CND dancers and the theatrically inspired physical vocabulary of Wim Vandekeybus.
